Resumo
In the last decades it could be seen in Brazil a considerable decrease in the labor force in manufacturing and an increase in the service sector. This research attempts to understand that process in a dynamic model where firms choose simultaneously their location. The agglomeration index used decompose the agglomeration due to scale from the agglomeration due to regional advantages. For scale economies we adopt the Herfindahl-Hirschman index and for regional advantage the Ellison and Glaeser (1997) index.
