Resumo
Fish farming contributes to the transmission of malaria in some parts of the Amazon. It relies on artificial tanks that become attractive sites for mosquitoes to lay their eggs. This work analyzes the problem of malaria in the region of the Alto Juruá River basin, in the state of Acre, proposing a system of differential equations for epidemiological modeling, taking into account the relationship between the lack of maintenance of fish farming tanks and the prevalence of malaria.
