Resumo
This presentation aims to analyze the memorial constructions held around the figure of the Count d'Eu, from three specific times. The first one follows the trajectory of this character in Imperial Brazil, highlighting the negative characteristics ascribed to it. The second examines the return of the Count to Brazil in January 1921, when he is received with much sympathy and glories. Finally, the third phase targets the biographies published about the Count in the 1930s, where we can see a memorial construction quite different from that presented only a decade ago.
