Resumo
This text is part of a broader research on the role of SPHAN Service (National Historical and Artistic Heritage) in Minas Gerais in the period 1939-1964. For now, we will focus on the journeys of four intellectuals (Olavo Bilac, Amoroso Lima, Mário de Andrade and Arinos) whose work was fundamental in the process of building the city of Ouro Preto as a relic of the nation and in shaping the discourse on the preservation heritage in Brazil
