Resumo
Digital platforms have democratized access to a variety of financial services. It is not different for microfinance. Digital technologies offer crucial tools for financial inclusion. Nevertheless, companies often encounter difficulties when working with a customer base more vulnerable to economic crises. In this context, this teaching case illustrates the trajectory of Grão, a B2C micro-investment fintech launched to simplify and promote saving habits through financial education. This teaching case aims to examine microfinance business models arising from technology-enabled solutions. Additionally, the case demonstrates the challenges of growing a business in the face of economic instability and the entrepreneurial decision-making process from the CEO's perspective.
