10 anos de internet banking: desvendando o processo de incorporação de tecnologia em um banco brasileiro através de uma abordagem sociotécnica

Since 1995 the Brazilian financial institutions utilize the Internet intensely on behalf of their businesses. In this report we present the results of the exploratory work of the process through which the use of the Internet technology became a reality in a Brazilian bank and its evolution in that organization, by examining the process on a non-diffusionist perspective, the Actor-Network Theory. It was identified that several actors were involved with the Internet incorporation by the bank and that they are engaged with its maintenance as an important technology for the institution and many strategies are implemented to sustain that status.
