Resumo
This project intends to analyze the asset management in state-owned enterprises. It will identify the practices of asset management in state-owned enterprises, particularly that headquartered in the city of São Paulo. Those practices will be evaluated under efficiency and productivity criteria, considering a globalized economy and the emerging forces of privatization.The research will be based on assesments of concepts and practices in public assets management, in comparison with private assets management. There will be also undertaken a survey, through personal interviewing, in sample public enterprises, to assess and evaluate the difficulties and the real practices carried by those organizations. It is worthwhile to mention that this work will not focus on accounting and legal aspects, even tough such dimensions may be included in the study.
