Resumo
The objective of this study is to analyze how corporations take advantage of the resources of Information Technology in the management of corporate social responsibility. 139 Corporate Social Reports -listed on the websites of the top 500 Brazilian companies œ are analyzed. Later, two companies are investigated in order to know how much of the existing technology is used by the corporation‘s social responsibility department. Although corporations have some interests in dialog and involvement with the community, the study concludes that there are not enough efforts and results to improve communication with communities by taking greater advantage of the possibilities offered by the Internet.
