Resumo
This essay describes the historical relationship between Man and Risk, pointing out their contemporary relations, comprising Entrepreneurial Ethics and Corporate Governance, with both aiming to discipline the capital relationship, taking into account equity, transparency and accountability principles, in addition to law abiding procedures, being it formal, informal or market laws, as well as the intrinsical ethical aspects involved, which culminated with Sarbanes-Oxley Act. More than merely getting the investment nearer to the production, Entrepreneurial Ethics, combined with Corporate Governance, set the pavement for mutual trust between investors and companies, becoming a business stage for both. They also establish an opportunity for companies to lever themselves up directly through their stockholder’s equity, meaning that to every onus there’ll be a respective bonus. This, under several circumstances, rewards the investment return alongside social responsibility and perception of all the other stakeholders.
