From 2013 onwards, with the campaign Chega de Fiu Fiu created by the feminist organization Think Olga, the debate on public harassment starts to become more relevant in virtual platforms, within social movements and, nonetheless, in legislative production. In the absence of consensus on its solution, the present work seeks to understand how and what responses have been thought and constructed, based on the analysis of legislative proposals and initiatives of actors and actresses in civil society. The initiatives were classified into three types: (1) classical, with penal solutions aimed at deterring and punishing the conduct; (2) institutional-creative, with alternative solutions that aim to dissuade conduct, compensate victims and (r)establish symmetry in relationships; (3) supercreatives, with the potential to produce behavioral transformations, making Law’s direct intervention unnecessary. We intend to contribute to the debate on public harassment, thinking the theme from critical theories of Law and critical criminology.
