Resumo
This study aims at analysing the use of Analytical Review Techniques as practiced by auditing firms in Brazil (Chapter I). The framework for the study is set in the litera ture review chapter where the state of the art and the most important research results in the field are presented (ChaE ter 11). The choice of the case study method of research, data collection techniques and research limitations are presented in Chapter 111. The cases studied are described in Chapter IV. C~ se analysis by comparison with the theorical framework previously presented is developed in Chapter V. Finally, after comparing the results with the literature, conclusions are presented, recommendations are developed as well as sU0gestions for future research (Chapter VI) .
