This thesis has three papers. The first work developed a conceptual model from a bibliography review that identified three types of impacts: socioeconomic impact; scientific-technological impact and; impact in culture and image of region. The framework of model bases on inputs, outputs and indicators. Beyond of model, the firs work also it suggest a flow to implementation a process of the evaluating the university impact in its community. The second work from this thesis shows a research about a Brazilian public university impact accomplished from the conceptual model developed at first work. It evaluated the socioeconomic impact and scientific- technological impact of three different areas of knowledge: applied social sciences, engineering and three units of the health area. Lastly, the third work shows a research about how the community realize the impact of university evaluated in second work. To that end, it conducted 30 interviews conducted with community leaders from two cities in which the university is located. To organize the interview script, it used the conceptual model proposal developed in the first article. Thus, it identified the perception of the positive impact, negative impact and aspects in which the community sees omission from the university.
