Resumo
This project is based in a 1994 research about the profi1e of Human Resource Management in the Greater São Paulo area. The resu1ts showed a contrasting rea1ity with Human Resource Management theories. In the 1ast few years, Brazilian organizations have been going trough many changes, as well as the discourse about Human Resource management theory and practice. This project proposese a common goal, to update the 1994 research. Also, it has two individual goals: 1. To compare the resu1ts with the 1994 research and 2. To compare the resu1ts with the perception of Human Resource academics and pratictioners.
