Resumo
This research project aims at elaborating a proposal of a merger control guideline suitable for the particular institutional setting of Brazil. The study is divided into three parts: i. survey of the international literature with emphasis on the existing guidelines of major competition authorities; ii. survey of the recent contributions by Brazilian institutions; iii. proposal of a Brazilian guidelines for merger control under two assumptions: a) maintenance of the present ex-post control; b) introduction of a prenotification system.
