Resumo
This dissertation has as objective to develop scenarios for the internationalization of fuel ethanol through the methodology of strategic prospective. After describing the history of the development of fuel ethanol in the Brazilian energy matrix, is described on the current ethanol market in Brazil and around the world, the main aspects that influence the development of marketing this fuel as an international commodity. Thus, it applies the methodology of prospective scenarios for the use of ethanol worldwide. For scenarios identified after a review of theoretical and empirical literature on the subject, is compiling a study that describes possible strategies for internationalization of Petrobras Biofuel, a subsidiary of Petrobras Petroleo Brasileiro SA responsible for the ethanol business of the company in Brazil and abroad.
