Physical activity surveillance system in community health promotion programs

Abstract

Insufficient physical activity (PA) is highly prevalent in Brazil and is associated with adverse health conditions and the risk of non-communicable diseases. To increase PA levels in the population, the Community Physical Activity Program was launched, which has been expanding across the country in the last 10 years. However, these programs still do not have an easy-to-use tool that aggregate the user's clinical information, in addition to management, in order to allow the generation of indicatorsfor monitoring.
