Resumo
This article presents the principles of the Programa Paideía de Saúde da Família( Program Paideía of Health Family) developed in Campinas. First, we present a brief contextualization of the Brazilian Project of Health Family Program and we focus the discussion on the specificities of the Campinas case. This analysis was based on the documents of the Programa Gestão Pública e Cidadania, some official documents, participant observation and the answers of an open inquiry sent by internet. The analysis demonstrated that the Programa Paidéia de Saúde da Família introduce a new model of public health attention and practices that promotes the integral health of the population, although the changes in the municipality government has made important alterations in the practices of the program.
