Resumo
The present work is an inquiry into the dimensioning of human resources in hospitals. An extensive study was made of trends (ratios and indexes) and of guidelines (yardsticks and parameters) reported in the technical literature concerning quantitative measures of personal. The research intended also to analyse the influence of some relevant factores on the hospital staffing pattern.
