Resumo
The present paper aims to enrich the human discourse , as Geertz asserts (1973), of ideas, concepts and frameworks to improve the comprehension about perceived value and sacrifice associated with his professional baggage as viewed by the executive person. The constructs of perceived value, sacrifice, and professional baggage will be used to subsidize these professionals with arguments to differentiate their qualifications aiming to extract the maximum value possible of their baggage and professional skills. Phase 1 will deal with an exploratory study among professionals of the São Paulo city. Latter, in phase 2, a quantitative study with a larger sample of São Paulo executives provided additional inputs to the study.
