Resumo
This project intends to analyze the peculiarities of the course offered by the School of Penitentiary Management of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Based on documents collected in the school’s archives, it seeks to verify if there is any particularity in the staff’s training, considering their key role in the penitentiary system. At first, it was exposed the thematic bibliography used on this work. Then, from the school assertions, and the classes offered, it was verified if there was a specific prison ideology inside the courses offered by the School of Penitentiary Management of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
