The purpose of this article is to present a brief a brief analysis of the so-called perpetual chairs of the 'Estádio Jornalista Mário Filho', popularly known as Maracanã, and the problem that arise from the suspension of its use during the major sports events that occurred in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Created by municipal law to help fund the building of the stadium, those chairs secured the right of the owners of these chairs to have unrestricted access to all marches and spectacles held in Maracanã. However, in order to the FIFA Competitions and the Rio Olympic games happen, the use of the chairs was suspended, which brought the situation to the judiciary.
