Resumo
In this work we tried to analyze the factors that contribute to the success or to the ill success of some therapeutical practices in the psychiatric institutions. As a social practice that institutions, the psychiatry and the relationships, resulting from them are is realized for the social and human a privileged field of application OD social and human sciences discoveries and its study will hardly be done by only one point of view. Such stand allowed us to countersign this work under an institutional approaching. Whereas the hospital that was examined as making part of a more extensive context of the society. This study was realized by comparing the inforrnations about the patients and about the attendment team of a psychiatric hospital that ilustrated this work. We considered the first period as the classic therapy one and the second that of the implantation and the expansion of the therapeutical community experience. We also considered this second period like being a more important moment of the therapeutical practices history of that hospital, as it fixes the beginning of a much more different period than the earlier one. This difference is characterized not only by the ideas or even the approaching of psychiatrical problems in general but specifically by the attention paid to the patients, restraining more and more an unilateral treatment of mental disease, not only in theoretical terms but opened up new perspectives in term of psychiatric praxis and besides all its, goals, in face of strengthning of the patient - family -community entailment. The realized comparison allowed us to conclude that within the exposed reports there was no significative differences between the two periods still considering that the psychiatrical practice in public hospitais is organized in accordand with the actual policy of health.
