The present conclusion paper has the objective of analyzing the effects of the sanctions imposed by United States of America, the European Union and the United Nations Security Council against the civil society from Islamic Republic of Iran. Initially shall be seen the history of these sanctions, looking at the relations between the USA and Iran after the 1979 revolution until the present days, with a special focus on the period after 2009, when the behavior of the sanctioning entities changed. It is possible to see that the relation between the USA and Iran was based on the duality between economic pressure and dialogue, the first being used as a tool to achieve the last. After that will be analyzed the legislation witch restricted Iranian economics capacity and helped to slow down the evolution of Iran’s nuclear program.in this chapter can be seen the extent of the sanctions and how they create mechanisms to relieve the civil society, showing the western humanitarian speech. The last chapter will focus on the impacts of the sanctions on the Iranian civil society, it will be shown that even though there are legislatives exceptions, the Iranian population is being effected. This will be done by analyzing of journals and stories told by Iranians through NGOs. At the end a balance shall be made, reflecting if the results achieved by the sanctions pay the social costs of imposing them on the Iranian society.
