Resumo
The research aims to examine the consequences of the dynamics of the Brazilian regional economic development, on the degree of regional disparities. The work intends to appraise if the different intensities and velocities of the productive transformations in the various economic spaces resulted in the convergence or divergence in the specific levels of development presently observed in the Brazilian reality. The analysis will encompass a period since the eighties, and it also intends to verify the sectorial changes in the regional economic product and labor absorption.
