Resumo
A discussion of the principle aspects of the sampling plan of a household survey, the PED - Survey of Employment and Unemployment, conducted monthly by Fundação Seade and Dieese since 1985. Methodological, theoretical and practical issues, as well as adopted solutions, are addressed. An attempt is made to evaluate the contribution of this survey to the development of Fundação Seade.
