Information Technology Expediture Indexes Study: Evaluation, Evolution and Trends for Brazilian medium and large Companies' - study to evaluate IT - Information Technology Expenditure Indexes evolution and behavior during teh past ten years look for a tendancy that allowed a prediction for the near future. The indexes are the total cost or the total expenditure in IT measured as a percentage of thenet revenues and the annual cost per keyboard. Both measures are recognized as majors branchmarks in IT resourse management. The sample for the study is based on a 1999 upgrade of data with several variables measured among more than 1.100 medium and large Brazilian companies. The study pictures the evolution, analyses thebehavior and demonstrates that the Indexes depend on the economy sector and on the IT use level.
