Resumo
This paper aims to be positioned as a result of the research project 'História Oral do Supremo [1988-2013], conducted by a partnership between FGV Direito Rio, FGV Direito SP and CPDOC. During my participation in the project, many research themes appealed to me, specially the relation between Law and Politics. In this research theme, we chose to realize a case study that would allow us to observe the relation between the lawyers elites and politicians elites. To achieve this, we chose the interview of the justice Nelson Jobim to the research project mentioned. We observed more than a circulation of Jobim between both elites, there is a confusion between the lawyers practices and the politicians practices that he told in the interview. Lawyers practices were used in the politics space and politicians practices were used in the law space. Therefore, our aim was to identify these moments in the interview and conclude how they can explain the position of Jobim in both elites. We conclude that his position in each of these elites, cannot be explained solely by the practices of each space. The lawyer capital is not enough to explain his position in the lawyers elites and his politician capital is not enough to explain his position in the politicians elites, only the amount of them is.
