Resumo
A comparative presentation of brazilian legislation, american legislation as the british rues for collapses were presented on dissertation. The dissertation also includes financial theories. An outline of Argenti, Rossand Kami, Beaver, Altman, Wilcox,Deakin; and Kanitz theories is presented. A research on concordatas figures was develloped for the period 1973 to 1979 (first semester). A sample for the concordatas with more than Cr$ 100 millions was established and a 'cross test' fôr the age of their companies was applied. Due to an anachronistic legislation the old companies apply more for the concordata procedure in Brazil.
