Resumo
The study aims to examine the theoretical and empirical aspects related to the productive restructuring dynamics of the economies and the implications on the tertiarization process presently verified in advanced and less developed countries. The research begins from a theoretical base that includes as conditioning factors the growing of firms restructuring and outsourcing, the increasing process of economic globalization, the growth in intensity and speed of technological innovations, as well as the necessity of coping with the recessive conjunctural situation. The Brazilian reality was empirically examined for the period since 1970.
