Resumo
This paper aims to reveal the perceptions of a gender of 'concurseiros' and the obstacles they faced until the acceptance on the intended public sector recruitment examination. In order to perform such review, narrative excerpts were used in focal groups held with students of the Specialization Course in Law for the Judicial Career, of Escola de Magistratura do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (EMERJ). This article is developed from theoretical research on professionalism and gender, and thereafter, with the analysis of the personal experiences of each student.
