Resumo
Quality of life has been studied through many related concepts, as so conditions of living, standard of living, life style, social welfare and others. In recent years we have seen many efforts going on to more specific definitions and to determine indicators or systems of indicators in order to evaluate quality of life. Important contributions have indeed been achieved, yet this project raises from the perception that the proposals do not contemplate one special aspect: that is to reach a system of indicators that fit with the possibilities of action of local communities and be significant of the conceptions of quality of life existing in each community.
